A few simple things you can do before your appointment help us complete the inspection faster and give you a more accurate report.
We need about 3 feet of clearance on each side of the vehicle and clear access to the front and rear. Tight garages, covered spots, or stacked parking may prevent a complete undercarriage inspection.
If possible, don't drive the vehicle in the 30 minutes before your appointment. A cool engine lets us check oil level accurately and reduces risk when handling fluid caps. Not required, but helpful.
If you have a check engine light or any dashboard warning, write down when it appeared and whether it's constant or intermittent. This helps us connect fault codes to symptoms faster.
We don't need access to the interior for most checks. Just make sure the vehicle is accessible at the address you listed. Your photo report will be emailed within 30 minutes of completion.
SafeDriver performs a visual and functional inspection of the 10 systems listed above. Every inspection includes a written photo report with a pass / advisory / action needed rating for each item, delivered by email within 30 minutes of completion. OBD-II fault code scanning and plain-language code explanations are included at no extra charge.
SafeDriver does not perform repairs, part replacements, oil changes, or fluid top-offs. We do not disassemble components or perform lifts requiring specialized shop equipment. We do not provide estimates or quotes for repair work. Our inspection is advisory only — we tell you what we found and rate the severity; what you do next is your decision.
